Coleon is a truly talented, positive hip hop artist who is taking the underground hip hop scene by storm. “Tha Seed” is an exceptional album featuring an assortment of dynamically intense rhymes, beats, and production. Coleon comes direct to fans spinning off hot linguistics, encapsulated in exceptional flow, style, and vocalization. Coleon is a rising star, and an incredible emcee, and “Tha Seed” is an incredible album featuring non stop gems that shine in the darkest light.”

This 13 track album is a bright spot in hip hop as Coleon easily proves Hip Hop music can be “exceptionally tight”, and “positive” at the same time. Coleon’s flow, and vocalization are his strongest microphone attributes; however, his natural ability to touch fans with intense, well written, and passionately performed lyrics. Coleon draws fans into his flow, and grabs their attention, holding it at length.

The best cut on this album is “Squanderin”, which is a truly positive track about living life positively, looking at what’s important. Coleon does an outstanding job conveying his thoughts clearly over what is by far an exceptionally well put together beat ( props to Brother Jay ). This joint is sure to appease fans hunger for some great hip hop music. Other notable tracks include “If I”, “Ra Ra”, and “Cream”. In fact, its fair to say the whole album is worthy of deeming notable as filler tracks are foreign to this album. Its refreshing for hip hop fans to be introduced to an artist who is overloaded with emcee ability, which he uses to convey positivity; rather than, cashing in off bling bling. Syntax Records needs to be given credit for their outstanding efforts in assembling this album as its presentation, and quality far exceeds average. Syntax Records has also made wide efforts to bring this positive album to fans world wide, and fans will appreciate it.

Low points on this album barely exist. The only fans that may direct major critiques to this album are those that are looking for thugged out vibes. Other fans may critique the albums intro ( some fans really hate intro’s ), but its only a few seconds in length so it does not really affect the musical flow when looping. The albums length is also somewhat questionable, being only 42 minutes, and 46 seconds long ( fans want full albums – 70 minutes plus ).

“Tha Seed” is a land mark album because it archives a high status being exceptionally tight, and exceptionally positive. Fans won’t only listen to this album, they will relate to it, and walk away with a deeper feeling about many positive things. All of Coleon’s rhymes are on point, and the production behind this album is outstanding ( Brother Jay, Weasel, K-Love ). Fans need to check out this album because they will not be disappointed.
