“This album is the perfect example of good, underground hip hop music. The lyrics are hot, and the beats are just as solid. Smooth flows, solid content, and excellent delivery gives O Asiatic a prize gem to be proud of.” Production is handled very well, and, even though, this album doesn’t have the same quality of polishing as most commercial, high budget albums, it still has the same impact. O Asiatic makes a good effort to pack each flow with raw intensity that is surely felt. The majority of the beats on this album are presented with a east coast sound, but have an appeal that will appease any fan. Banging beats, wrapped in a hard hitting style, surely add strong to the impact this album makes.
The best beat on this album backs the best lyrical performance on this album, presenting in the track entitled “Mad City”. All of the beats on this album are exceptionally tight, leaving no room for filler, and, or beat fodder.
“Mad City”, being the best overall track on the album, is destine to become a favorite for many fans. Its not unrealistic to see a track of such statue journey many places such as video, radio, etc. This track is hard hitting, presented with strong flow, solid lyrical content, and excellent delivery.
“I’m Fed” is another highly notable track. A mystical aura is created by the carefully played use of the interesting sounds used within the beat, making the beat mind capturing. The lyrical content of this track is as real as it gets, being a solid battle attack on the fake. This track is a close second to “Mad City” and sure to be a sure shot hit.
Most of the lyrical content on this album is presented as raw, intense, ever flowing battle rhymes. The lyrical content is solid, articulated on the tracks through intense, solid flow and delivery that is unmatched.
The weakest point of this album is its insightful skits. Through-out the album there are 4 skits that break up the flow, and intensity of the album. From an artists point of view, its obvious they were put there to help add to the aura and meaning of the album, to add a little something extra for artistry purposes; however, from a fan, and or listeners point of view, they just break up the intensity of the album. These skits are very short, and clearly labeled on the album jacket, so even the hardest critic won’t deem them as too damaging.
Overall, there are too many quotable’s on this album to list, and too many amazing beats to individually mention. This album comes with our highest recommendations, being the perfect example of good, underground hip hop music that any fan will enjoy.
