The Huh Album is an impressive collection of songs by some talented indie hip hop artists with a unique vibe and style. Bottom of the Ninth Entertainment brings the world of independent hip hop music an album featuring some talented independent alternative hip hop artists, rhyming about the reality of life. Definitely something different then the usual, but still felt.
“Westward Journeys” is the most impressive track featured on this compilation. It stems from a solid appearance by “Somewhere Outside Consciousness”, another gem produced by Tack Fu Productions. The poetics of the vocals compliment the unique delivery the beat bestows upon your ears.
Other Notable appearances stem from such artists as “A.Mays”, “Pale knight”, and “Mosphat”. “A. Mays” heads up the second best performance on the compilation with his melodic track entitled “Relax”. It lives up to its name backed by a highly smooth, touching beat; however, like most of the lyrics on this album, it lacks some lyrical content. Withering in and out of “Relax” is a female sporting a sexy voice sharing a few tip tingling whispers and words with your ears.
In some respects, every album has its bland points, and this album’s man critic is its lyrical content. Some of the songs seamed to linger on weak punchlines, and watered down similes; however, the diversity of this album is highly vibed, the beats are definitely banging in a melodic method, and a few of the artists are proven to be talented; therefore, your not feeling jipped if you copped this album. Its something you’ll put in rotation because it makes you feel something that a lot of albums don’t. Check it, and check the vibe. The Huh Album is a unique and fresh hip hop compilation, no doubt.
